A few frequently asked questions for a Duluth wedding and elopement photographer.
I truly don’t remember when I first picked up a camera, other than it was sometime in middle school. I got my first DSLR when I was in the 10th grade, and I shot my first couple of weddings in 2008. After 16 years and over 500 weddings and elopements, I am still doing it and I still love it.
I consider my style to be “True to life, with a punch”. I love vivid colors and crunchy black and whites. I keep my greens green and my blues blue. I want my edits to be timeless. Apart from some small tweaks in the color toning, my style hasn’t changed in 15+ years, and I am proud of that.”
It’s always good to have a back up location or plan, but I am always up to brave the elements when needed. I have done plenty of weddings and sessions in the pouring rain. Just need to be prepared!
Most of my elopements and smaller intimate weddings, I photograph alone. For larger weddings I usually work with a second photographer!
You betcha!
Every wedding photo I have taken for the past 15 years is stored on a RAID enclosure, and that enclosure is backed up to the cloud. I also don’t format my cards until after a wedding is uploaded and delivered to my gallery service, which provides yet another layer of redundancy!
You can order prints and products right off the gallery and those orders are fulfilled and shipped direct to you from my print house.
I have photographed just about everywhere on the North Shore of Lake Superior, Gunflint Trail, and many other locations in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin; I have plenty of galleries that I can send for examples!
I do offer videography as an add-on service. I also have a list of some awesome videographers I can refer as well!
