Hey folks, I’m Max! An elopement and intimate wedding photographer from northern Minnesota. I like to capture the beauty and intimacy of love in the wilderness. From the shores of Lake Superior to the deep woods of the Superior National Forest and BWCA, I love photographing in the Northland.

I grew up at my Grandpa’s cabin on Gunflint Lake, where I developed a deep connection to nature and adventure. I love to canoe, camp, and fly fish. I enjoy sharing these experiences with my wife, Kyia, our son Theo and daughter Ida. They are my biggest inspiration and support.

My photography style is natural, candid, and authentic. I capture the raw emotions and moments of your elopement, along with the beauty and landscape that surrounds us. Some of my favorite locations and events to photograph involve waterfalls, rocky shorelines, and hikes. I also offer guidance and planning advice to help you find the perfect location and time for your elopement. I’m always up for an adventure on your wedding day whether it’s hiking, canoeing, or snowshoeing. So don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or ideas. I can’t wait to hear from you.

Land Acknowledgment

I am based in Northern Minnesota, a region that resides on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe and Dakota peoples, the original stewards of this land we love so much. I recognize and honor the deep connection these Indigenous communities have with this land, which has been their home for countless generations. I acknowledge the continuing presence and contributions of the Anishinaabe and Dakota peoples in this region. I am committed to respecting and preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this land, and I stand in solidarity with efforts to achieve justice, equity, and reconciliation with Indigenous communities
